Shipping & Delivery Process
Buying a container is a major investment, and we want to ensure it arrives safely and efficiently. Here is what to expect from the moment you click "pay" to the moment the doors are opened at your location.
1. Order Processing & Timeline
Once your payment is cleared, your order moves into our logistics queue.
Order Confirmation: You will receive a confirmation email and an estimated delivery window immediately after payment.
Dispatch Lead Time: Standard "as-is" or used containers typically head out within 3 to 7 business days.
Modification Lead Time: If you have requested modifications (windows, paint, electrical), please allow an additional 10 to 14 business days for our shop to finish the work before dispatch.
2. Preparing Your Site
The most common cause of delivery delays is a site that isn't ready. Please ensure your drop zone meets these requirements:
Surface: The ground must be firm, dry, and level. We recommend a concrete pad, a gravel base, or level asphalt. If placing on dirt or grass, please be aware that the truck and the container are extremely heavy and may sink in soft conditions.
Clearance: * 20' Containers: Require at least 75 feet of straight-line clearance.
40' Containers: Require at least 120 feet of straight-line clearance.
Obstructions: Check for low-hanging power lines, tree branches, or narrow gates. Our trucks require a minimum width of 12 feet and a height clearance of 14 feet.
3. The Delivery Day
We typically use a Tilt-Bed (Roll-off) Truck. This means the truck backs into the spot, tilts the bed up, and the container slides off the back as the truck pulls forward.
Scheduling: Our dispatch team will call you 24 hours in advance to confirm a delivery window.
On-Site Requirement: We highly recommend an adult be present to guide the driver to the exact placement spot and sign the delivery receipt.
Orientation: Let us know in advance if you want the doors facing the truck cabin or the doors facing the rear. The driver cannot flip the container once they arrive!
4. Delivery Rates
Shipping is calculated based on the distance from our nearest depot to your zip code.
Note: If our driver arrives and the site is inaccessible or unsafe, a "Failed Delivery Fee" may apply, and a re-delivery will need to be scheduled.
